While not the most epic ski you'll find, if you're up for some easy road accessible terrain in the blue mountains you can ski some laps in the Lookingglass drainage. The access is from the Spout Springs Ski Area parking which involves a quick climb up over the ridge and off the other side. You could try riding the lift to the top, but you probably will be quicker just skinning right out of the gate.
Skiing the drainages is tricky because most north aspects are heavily treed and the south aspects treeless. They're treeless because the snow doesn't stay long in late winter with the sun on them. This ridge allows for some open east and southeast ridge skiing where you can turn in some laps down most of the ridge after a goodly snowpack has developed. There are a few other lines you'll also see on the other side of the drainage and you might find some good tree skiing in a few places.
The best place to ski down onto the ridge is to stay on top of the ridge and traverse down through some thick older growth trees until you pop into the opening where you can begin skiing some laps to your right.
Sno Park permit required.
