A meandering trail that climbs you past Moon Lake and then to Hidden Lake from the East Eagle Trail. Hidden Lake is a relatively large body of water nestled at 7,200'. The trial makers and hikers seem to want to keep it hidden, because the trail gets to close to there and then wants to take you to an unnamed smaller lake above it. Hidden Lake is obscured by a very small ridge from the trail, but you can pretty much feel it over there and depart toward it at any point as the trail starts to get confusing near the lake.
The start of the trail includes a challenging crossing of East Eagle Creek. Once you're across it is a nice hike in the forest that eventually pops you up to Moon Lake, a nice pristine pond with a great view. Then, the trail goes steeply up the ridge to top out in the basin were the other lakes are hiding.
