Presumably the traditional Native American trail to the Minam described in the book Into the Minam, this rather direct and short route connects Mt. Moriah to the river. It arrives on the Minam River at Eagle Creek, just up river from Murphy Creek. It starts in a camp spot just off the FS 62 Road south of Mt. Moriah. There are no marking on this trail and it doesn't exist on any map but it is beaten in trail from years of travel, just not much in recent years.
The top stretches are in good shape and more well used. The trail traverses for a ways then gets on a ridge that it stays on the rest of the way down to the river. About halfway down on the ridge the trail disappears for a short ways. It is easy to hike the grassy ridge though. When getting closer to the river it switches back and drops down to follow Eagle Creek a short ways to the river. This part is brushy and needs some clearing.
